# Accounts and profiles

Every connected mailbox is an account with an id (`acc_…`). Use `accounts_list` to see them.

## Reads and writes
Reads without `account_id` span every account the key can reach and say in `warnings` which accounts failed. A write without `account_id` proceeds only when exactly one account can do it; otherwise it returns AMBIGUOUS_ACCOUNT with the candidates. Never guess an account.

## Profiles
Profiles group accounts (for example one per client). `profile_id` filters list and search tools. A key can be limited to some profiles or some accounts.

## Health
An account can be active, degraded, paused, or need reconnecting. Only the owner can reconnect, in Prubex.

## Pausing
A person can pause an account in Prubex, and an agent with accounts:manage can pause one with accounts_pause. Any agent with accounts:manage can lift a pause an agent made (accounts_resume); a pause a person made only a person can lift, in Prubex.
