To connect Gmail to Claude or another agent, sign in to Prubex with Google and add Prubex to your agent as an MCP server. Your agent can then search, read, label and draft Gmail, and sends wait for your approval.

Connect Gmail in 4 steps
- Create a free Prubex workspace and choose Connect an account, then Sign in with Google.
- Choose your Gmail or Google Workspace account and tick the permissions you want to give. Unticked ones are simply not offered to agents.
- Add Prubex to your agent: in Claude or ChatGPT as a connector (you approve it in Prubex), or with an API key for Cursor, VS Code and other clients.
- Ask “Find the invoice from CloudNest” or “Label everything from the school as Family.”

- Gmail labels appear as folders, and the Gmail-style search operators you know work in every search.
- Google Workspace accounts connect the same way, unless your administrator restricts third-party apps.
- Prubex uses Google data only to provide the features you ask for, under Google’s Limited Use rules.

Why is Gmail in early access?
Google verifies apps that read Gmail before they can serve everyone. Until Prubex is verified, Google caps how many people can connect, so places are limited.
What can I untick when I connect?
Google lets you untick each permission. Mail is one permission (read, organise and send), so unticking it removes mail; the calendar permissions can be unticked one by one. To let an agent read but not send, give its key or connected app the Read only preset.
Does Prubex read or keep my Gmail?
Prubex reads mail only when your agent asks and passes it through. It keeps no copies; only a send waiting for your approval is held, purged 7 days after it is decided or expires.
