These terms are an agreement between you and Tech Mage (Pty) Ltd ("Tech Mage", "we", "us"), the company that makes Prubex. They apply when you use prubex.com, the Prubex dashboard, the MCP server at mcp.prubex.com, or the REST API (together, "Prubex"). If you use Prubex for an organisation, you accept these terms for that organisation and confirm that you may do so.
By creating an account or using Prubex you accept these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy. Businesses that connect other people's mailboxes also accept the Data Processing Addendum.
1. What Prubex does
Prubex gives AI agents permissioned access to the email and calendar accounts you connect: Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, Gmail and Google Calendar, Zoho, Fastmail, iCloud, Yahoo and other IMAP, SMTP, CalDAV and ICS services. You decide which accounts an agent may reach, what it may do, and whether its sends wait for your approval.
Prubex passes your mail and calendar data through on each request rather than storing it. The few exceptions, such as a send waiting for your approval, are listed with their retention periods in the Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, and able to enter a binding contract.
- Give accurate sign-in details and keep them secure. Turn on two-factor authentication or a passkey where you can.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and your workspaces, including what the API keys and connected apps you create do.
- Tell us at hello@prubex.com straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
3. Connected accounts and agents
- Connect only accounts you are allowed to use. By connecting an account you confirm that you own it or have its owner's permission, and that letting an agent use it through Prubex does not break the provider's terms or your organisation's rules.
- You are responsible for your agents. An AI agent acts on your behalf within the permissions you give its key or connection. Its messages, events and other actions are yours. Prubex applies your rules (scopes, account limits, recipient lists, daily caps and approvals), but it does not judge whether what an agent writes is accurate, appropriate or lawful.
- Review before you approve. When a send waits for approval, what you approve is sent as shown.
- Prubex never permanently deletes mail or calendars. Agents can move mail to Trash; emptying it is up to you, in your provider's own app.
- Providers are independent services. Microsoft, Google and the other providers are not part of Prubex. Their availability, limits and terms apply to your accounts, and they may refuse, limit or revoke access without warning to us.
4. Plans, prices and payment
- Free plan. Each workspace may connect two accounts free of charge.
- Paid plan. Further accounts are billed per connected account per month, at the prices on prubex.com/pricing, in US dollars.
- Paddle is our reseller. Paid plans are sold by Paddle.com, which acts as merchant of record and handles checkout, payment, invoices and sales tax. When you buy, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Your order is with Paddle, and your use of Prubex is governed by these terms.
- Changes in quantity. Connecting or disconnecting accounts changes the number billed. Paddle works out any proration under its own rules.
- Renewal and cancellation. Paid plans renew each month until you cancel them in the billing page or Paddle's customer portal. Cancelling stops future renewals.
- Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to your plan.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
- Unpaid plans. If a payment fails and is not resolved, the accounts beyond your free two are suspended until it is. Your free accounts keep working.
5. Limits and fair use
Each plan has request limits (published on the pricing page and in the docs). New workspaces have lower send limits in their first 24 hours. We may change limits to protect the service and other customers, and where a change reduces what a paid plan includes we will tell you in advance.
6. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, Prubex must never be used to send spam or bulk unsolicited email.
7. Your data
You keep all rights in your content, including mail, events and contacts. You give us only the permission needed to run Prubex for you: to fetch, process and pass on your data when you or your agents ask, and to keep what the Privacy Policy lists for the periods it gives. No one at Tech Mage reads your mailbox data unless you ask us to look at a specific item, or it is needed to keep the service secure or to meet the law. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your mailbox data to train AI models.
You can export your data and delete your account or workspace from the dashboard at any time (Settings). See Privacy Policy, your rights.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Prubex available and to fix problems quickly, and we publish incidents on prubex.com/status. Prubex is provided without a service-level agreement, and it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance, provider outages or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces a paid feature we will tell you in advance.
9. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using Prubex and delete your account or workspace at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account, workspace, key or connection, with notice where it is reasonable to give it, if it breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, puts the service or others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we suspend only the part involved and tell you how to put it right.
- When a workspace is deleted, Prubex revokes its access at each provider at once, and deletes the workspace's data within 30 days, apart from billing records the law requires us or Paddle to keep.
10. Intellectual property
Prubex, its software, documentation, design and the Prubex name and logo belong to Tech Mage. We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Prubex under these terms while your account is open. Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer Prubex, except as the law allows. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
11. Warranties
We provide Prubex with reasonable skill and care. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, Prubex is provided "as is", without other warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise that an AI agent's output, or a provider, will be accurate, complete or uninterrupted.
12. Liability
To the extent the law allows:
- neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill;
- each party's total liability arising out of these terms in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Prubex in those 12 months and US$100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law, including South Africa's Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act where they apply.
13. Indemnity
If you use Prubex for a business, you will cover Tech Mage against third-party claims arising from your content, your agents' actions, or your breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects you, we will email the workspace owner at least 30 days before it applies. If you keep using Prubex after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, delete your account before then.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Please contact us first at hello@prubex.com so we can try to resolve any complaint. If we cannot, the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim where you live.
16. General
- If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not give it up.
- You may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them with the business that runs Prubex.
- These terms, with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement about Prubex.
