Outlook MCP server

To connect Outlook to an AI agent, sign in to Prubex with your Outlook.com, Hotmail or Live account, then add Prubex to Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client. Your agent can search, read, file and draft; anything it sends waits for your approval.

Connect Outlook in 4 steps

  1. Create a free Prubex workspace and choose Connect an account, then Sign in with Microsoft.
  2. Sign in with your personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail or Live) and accept the permissions.
  3. Add Prubex to your agent: in Claude or ChatGPT as a connector (you approve it in Prubex), or with an API key for Cursor, VS Code and other clients.
  4. Ask in plain words: “What did Sam send me this week?” or “Draft a reply to the landlord.”

Good to know

Checked .

  • Personal accounts get mail, folders, categories, drafts and calendars.
  • Free/busy for a personal account is worked out from its own calendar; Microsoft offers no scheduling service for personal accounts.
  • Teams meeting links are for work and school accounts only.
  • Works the same in every client: Outlook on the web, the apps and Prubex see the same mailbox.

Outlook questions

Is this the same as Microsoft 365?

Both connect through Microsoft Graph with the same tools. Microsoft 365 work accounts add Teams links and colleagues’ free/busy; personal Outlook accounts do not have those.

Do I need an app password for Outlook?

No. You sign in with Microsoft and approve Prubex; there is no password to copy, and you can remove access from your Microsoft account at any time.

What happens if I change my Microsoft password?

The connection usually keeps working. If Microsoft asks you to sign in again, Prubex marks the account “Reconnect needed” and emails you once a day at most.
