iCloud Mail MCP server
To connect iCloud Mail to an AI agent, create an app-specific password for Prubex in your Apple Account and paste it into Prubex with your iCloud address. Prubex connects to iCloud Mail and iCloud Calendar, and your agent reaches both through one MCP server.
Connect iCloud Mail in 4 steps
- Sign in at account.apple.com (two-factor authentication must be on).
- In Sign-In and Security, choose App-Specific Passwords, generate one named Prubex and copy it.
- In Prubex, choose Connect an account, then iCloud, and paste your address and the password.
- Add Prubex to your agent: in Claude or ChatGPT as a connector (you approve it in Prubex), or with an API key for Cursor, VS Code and other clients.

Good to know
Checked .
- Mail and calendars come from one app-specific password.
- Messages your agent sends are saved to Sent Messages, as Apple Mail does.
- Threads are rebuilt from message headers, since IMAP has no thread ids.
- Revoke the password at account.apple.com any time; Prubex then marks the account for reconnecting.
iCloud Mail questions
Why does iCloud need an app-specific password?
Apple does not offer sign-in for other apps’ mail access. An app-specific password works only for iCloud Mail, Contacts and Calendars, not your Apple Account settings, and you can revoke it without changing your Apple Account password.
Does it work with @me.com and @mac.com addresses?
Yes. Prubex recognises icloud.com, me.com and mac.com addresses and fills in Apple’s server settings.
Are iCloud calendars included?
Yes. Prubex finds your iCloud calendars with the same password, so your agent can read and change events and see when you are free.
