What each provider supports

What an agent can do depends on the provider behind each account. This table is generated from the same registry the gateway enforces: a tool for something marked ✗ answers PROVIDER_UNSUPPORTED for that account, except online-meeting links and attendees’ free/busy, where the call still runs and a warning names what was left out. Reads across accounts cover the accounts that can do it; an account you name with account_id that cannot do it answers PROVIDER_UNSUPPORTED.

✓ the provider does it · ~ Prubex does it on top of the provider · ✗ not available (the tool answers PROVIDER_UNSUPPORTED; for online-meeting links and attendees’ free/busy the call still runs and a warning names what was left out)

Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com

  • Folders: Categories also appear as labels.
  • Free/busy: Work accounts use the scheduling service; personal accounts are computed from the calendar.
  • Attendees’ free/busy: Work and school accounts only (the scheduling service); personal accounts see their own.
  • Online-meeting links: Teams links on work and school accounts only.

Gmail and Google Calendar

  • Folders: Gmail labels appear as folders.
  • Send, reply and forward: Forwards carry the original’s attachments, within Gmail’s 25 MB per message.
  • Attendees’ free/busy: Where Google shares it (usually the same Workspace), and only if the person allowed it when connecting.

Zoho Mail and Calendar

  • Drafts: Editing or sending a saved draft saves or sends it anew (Zoho has no draft edit).
  • Send, reply and forward: Forwards are composed by Prubex with the original’s text and files, within the account’s limit.
  • See what changed: New mail since the last look; Zoho reports no flag changes or moves.
  • Answer invitations: Zoho Calendar offers no way to answer an invitation through its API.
  • Attendees’ free/busy: People Zoho can see (usually your organisation); Zoho answers the same for someone free as for someone it cannot see.

Fastmail

  • Drafts: Editing a draft saves a new one in its place.
  • Flag, label, move and trash: Labels are single lower-case words (JMAP keywords).
  • Read calendars: Calendars need the optional app password when connecting.
  • Answer invitations: Fastmail sends the reply itself; a comment cannot be carried over CalDAV.
  • Free/busy: Computed from the account’s own calendars.

IMAP / SMTP and CalDAV

  • Conversations: Threads are rebuilt from References and In-Reply-To headers.
  • Send, reply and forward: Sent over SMTP, with a copy saved to Sent.
  • Flag, label, move and trash: Moves need a server with MOVE; labels are single words (IMAP keywords).
  • See what changed: New mail since the last look, and flag changes where the server reports them.
  • Read calendars: Where the provider offers CalDAV (iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail, many hosts).
  • Answer invitations: Only where the server sends the reply itself (CalDAV scheduling); without a comment.
  • Free/busy: Computed from the account’s own calendars.
